Early in November, Barbara Skoff, Regional Director of the North Central Region, led a group of seven women into Washington, DC. While their focus was to pray and visit key places and strategic leaders in DC, you can imagine their surprise when they heard about an answer to a year old prayer.
In 2010 a young woman named Kelly brought her grandmother to DC to participate in the North Central region’s prayer journey. Doctors had told Kelly that she would never be able to have a baby. The team prayed over Kelly, declaring that she would conceive. Now, a year later, Kelly is a mom!
One of the places the team visited was the new Martin Luther King Memorial. It was a very emotional time for one of the team members as she had marched with Dr. King.
The visit to the Capitol is always a special time. Walking the hallowed halls of Congress while praying for God’s will to be accomplished and for those serving as Senators and Representatives to make wise decisions, one can never forget how important it is for leaders of a nation to make decisions that will lead to Godly outcomes. Proverbs 14:31 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people
Each Regional Director has taken a team into Washington DC twice beginning in 2010. Each Region will continue to take a team in during 2012. A stronghold of His presence is continually reinforced each month as teams come in and invade key areas for His name sake.
